Burses and midwives are the largest workforce in the health care industry and play a vital role in providing quality care in institutions, home & community. Government of West Bengal has taken many initiatives and one of the important initiatives is Public Private Partnership model to meet the present day crisis.

ROYAL INSTITUTE OF NURSING AND MEDICAL SCIENCES is an initiative of HIMU Educational and Welfare Society to promote quality education by delivering high standard nursing courses to aspiring students to build their promising future in nursing. The institute aims at moulding students to be intellectually enlightened, socially committed, emotionally balanced and morally upright nurses.

Objectives

  • On completion of both the course (3 years of GNM and 4 years of B.Sc – Nursing) the students will able to:
  • To spread out the knowledge of nursing through which the nurses can apply the knowledge of physical, biological and behavioral sciences, medicines including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
  • To provide demonstration to understand the life style and other factors this affects the health of individuals and groups.
  • To provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups too.
  • To provide the demonstration of critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations in order to provide quality care.
  • To make a utilization of latest trends and technology in providing health care.
  • To provide promotive, preventive and restorative health services in line with the national health policies and programmes.
